A pipeline with give a ‘new life’ to the open pit mine No. 7
13.11.2019Irshansk Mining and Processing Plant will install four kilometers of pipeline in order for the factory and open pit mine No. 7 of IMPP, a subsidiary of JSC UMCC, operate in the reinforced mode using the ore from the new land plots
The workers of the open pit mine No. 7 have started assembling the new pulp pipeline. It will connect the mining sites to the processing factory of the open pit mine No. 7. JSC UMCC plans to spend over UAH 11 million for procurement of the pipes.
The need for the construction of the new pipeline and pulp pipeline arose due to the re-launch of the technological complex No. 7 for operation on the new land plots. The transport branch will give a ‘new life’ to this production facility and help increase the output of rough concentrate at the processing factory of the open pit mine. Heorhiy Anichkin, Chief Mining Specialist of IMPP, informed that the pipeline will transport 1,600 cubic meters of pulp per hour, including 130 cu meters of sands (solid mass).
Soon, a 2.4-km water pipeline will be built to the mining sites of the open pit mine No. 7. JSC United Mining and Chemical Company will allocated another UAH 5 million for the purchase of polyethylene pipes with a diameter of 500 mm.
The pipelines are common and necessary things in the mining and processing. These engineering facilities are designed to transport water to the mineral deposits or pulp from the mining sites to the processing factories.
In January 2019, the state allocated new land plots to Irshansk Mining and Processing Plant for development of titanium deposits, which are currently being developed by three open pit mines of the Irshansk subsidiary: No. 7, No. 8 and No. 9
The company assures that financing of measures related to successful operation of the complexes involved in the development of new areas is a primary task.
