The information published on the TZMI website that SE UMCC will lose its minerals developer rights after being transformed into a public joint stock company is incorrect.

“Upon the completion of corporatization, SE UMCC will preserve the minerals developer rights,” confirms SE UMCC First Deputy Director General Oleksandr Gladushko, referring to the decision of the Ukrainian government approved November 2. The decision introduces changes to the Resolution No. 615 of May 30, 2011 On Approval of the Procedure for Issuing Special Licenses for Extraction. “The amendments approved by the government will allow SE UMCC to preserve its minerals developer rights in the course of company’s reorganization,” comments Gladushko. As a reminder, SE UMCC is currently undergoing corporatization, in the process of which the company will be transformed from U-form enterprise into a public joint stock company.
