The festive event on the occasion of the professional holiday - the Day of Metallurgical and Mining Industry Workers - took place in Irshansk on July 14 at the Palace of Culture Tytan.
Viktor Sivchenko, Director of the IMPP branch addressed the audience with a greeting: “First of all, I want to thank the employees of our company, all those who are in this room, and those who are working at this moment, for the fact that for the year that has passed since the last celebration, we not only preserved our company, but also achieved significant results that allow us to live and develop. Then, together with the chairman of the trade union committee Mykola Volokhov, Sivchenko presented the awards to the best workers, as well as to the winners of the annual sports competition.
Following the example of Vilnohirsk Mining and Metallurgical Plant, the management of the United Mining and Chemical Company introduced a provision on awarding veterans of the plant at IMPP two years ago. In 2017, 32 employees became labor veterans of the Irshansk plant, each received a bonus in the amount of one minimum wage.
Acting Chairman of the Board of PJSC UMCC Oleksandr Hladushko recalled that the task of the branches in the past years was to ensure stability in the operation and development of the enterprises. "It's now 2017. The company is facing the challenge of developing, moving forward and improving,” said Hladushko. «Let's remember that earlier we were state enterprise UMCC and now we are a public joint stock company. And this means that the company is changing the management system, including, thanks to the active participation of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine that we are subordinated to. Therefore, to sum it up, we can say that the company is improving. I want to once again congratulate you all on your professional holiday, wish you good luck, peace and prosperity,” said Hladushko.
Many honorary guests attended the celebration, including, Mykhailo Malashok, Deputy Director of the Department of State Property Management of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.
The representative of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, Deputy Minister Yuriy Brovchenko, read out a congratulatory letter from Premier Volodymyr Groysman. "The mining and metallurgical complex has significant prospects for further development," the premier's letter said. "For this we need to attract significant investments, as well as implement a prudent privatization policy towards state-owned enterprises." In his letter, the premier wished all workers new production achievements, good health, prosperity, harmony and peace.
State Secretary of MEDT Oleksiy Perevezentsev together with Brovchenko awarded Oleksandr Hladushko, Vasyl Andriychuk, Volodymyr Tkachuk and others with the premier's gratitude note for considerable personal contribution to the development of the Ukrainian metallurgical and mining industry. Also VR's certificates of merits were awarded. After that Perevezentsev read the greeting of the First VIce-Premier of Ukraine – Minister of Economic Development and Trade Stepan Kubiv: “Thanks to your professionalism, experience and perseverance, the mining and metallurgical complex of Ukraine holds its positions in the global markets. On the day of your professional holiday, let me thank you for your daily work, dedication to your business, and a significant contribution to the economic and social development of Ukraine.”
Also MP Pavlo Dzublyk, the Head of the village council of the amalgamated territorial community of Irshansk Anatoliy Rak, Chairman of the Khoroshivsk regional state administration and many others congratulated the audience. The celebration ended with a concert of amateur groups of the Palace of Culture Tytan.
On Sunday, July 16, the celebration continued with performances by the merited artist of the variety art of Ukraine Khrystyna Okhitva and the famous symphonic rock orchestra BREVIS. During the concert, there were also contests, other entertainment and a prize draw of T-shirts with the company's logo - UMCC.
