The long-awaited Australian separators arrive in Irshansk
10.06.2019The new processing equipment of Australian Mineral Technologies Company, the world known manufacturer, arrived to Irshansk Mining and Processing Plant, a subsidiary of JSC UMCC, in the beginning of June, just as UMCC planned it. “We received 8 modules of different types of spiral separators, specifically 98 units of MG 6.3 and 24 HG10i. We were really expecting the modern equipment, thanks to which the subsidiary will take a big step forward,” comments Andriy Kolesnyk, Head of the Maintenance Team of IMPP.
At the moment, the Irshansk team is unpacking the equipment and preparing it for assembly at the factory of the open pit mine No. 9, where fundamental reconstruction has been under way since December. Irshansk processing experts are confident that as a result they will have modern capacities for ilmenite concentrate production, which they have long been dreaming about.
The company spent nearly UAH 29 million for the new equipment and expects that the factory of the open pit mine No. 9, where the new separators will operate, will substantially improve the company’s performance. This is what Oleksandr Gladushko, Acting Chairman of the Board of JSC UMCC hopes for as well.
Irshansk plant expects that the new equipment will provide for an increase of indicators of extraction of useful components and decrease of the production costs of the products. IMPP aim at reducing the cost of each ton of finished products.
Noteworthy, the equipment of Mineral Technologies is in high demand among competitors, well-known producers of titanium sands in the world. The supplier of the equipment took into account the specific features of processing of the composition of Irshansk ores.
We congratulate IMPP subsidiary on the new equipment!
