On Friday, July 18, Vilnohirsk Mining and Metallurgical Plant, a subsidiary of JSC UMCC, celebrated the Day of Metallurgical and Mining Industry Workers. The company’s management and administration of the plant, as well as an honorary guest, a representative of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, rewarded certificates of merits and commendations to nearly 80 employees of the subsidiary.
The festivities began with the traditional annual procession of employees of the main units of the plant, production veterans, young workers, laureates of the youth award, the best workers, the management of the plant and the trade union of the employees of the metallurgical and mining industry.
At the Metalurh Culture and Sports Palace, Oleksandr Prokopenko, Director of VMMP, began the celebration with an opening speech and congratulations. He thanked the employees of the subsidiary for professionalism, their dedication to the profession and the plant and wished: “Strong health, family warmth and clear peaceful skies!”
Five employees of the VMMP subsidiary were included in the Book of Honor and rewarded corresponding certificated for the long diligent work and exemplary performances of their duties.
Oleksiy Perevezentsev, State Secretary of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, delivered his speech from the stage of the Culture and Sports Palace. He read the congratulations from Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman and presented the awards to the top employees of the subsidiary. Ten employees of the company received certificates of merit from the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade this year at the request of the company. Two employees of the plant received certificate of merits from the Prime Minister of Ukraine.
Three employees of the plant were rewarded certificates of merits of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, which were presented to them by MP Oleh Kryshyn. He awarded four employees with watches, and two with a People’s Deputy Distinction – Patriot of Ukraine Commemorative Medal.
In his welcome speech, Oleksandr Gladushko, Acting Chairman of the Board of JSC UMCC, noted that it was hard to overestimated the contribution of each employee to the general result of the company and congratulated everybody on the holiday. He presented certificates of merits of JSC UMCC together with money rewards to ten employees of the subsidiary. There were also awarded from the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Administration, Fedir Klymenko, Chair of the Trade Union at VMMP, Town Mayor Volodymyr Vasylenko and other guests of the celebration.
Inna Denysyuk, Chief of Payroll Department, congratulated Vilnohirsk miners on behalf of the colleagues from Irshansk. She read the letter of congratulations from Viktor Sivchenko, Director of IMPP and presented a gift on behalf of the IMPP staff – a picture made by Polissya masters from amber.
Performance of the exemplar Georgian folk dance ensemble Ferxisa became an unexpected and extremely pleasant surprise for the audience, who greeted the Georgian dancers with great applause. Irakli Shapatava, Merited Georgian Choreographer and the head of the ensemble, congratulated the audience on their professional holiday.
The entertainment program traditionally featured amazing performances by amateurs of the Metalurh Culture and Sports Palace – Metalurh Folk Choir, children’s vocal ensemble Akord, Volta Dance Group, exemplary dance groups Perlynka and Radist, winner of the Krok do Parnasu Contest Rustam Keldiyarov, Alla Fabrikantova and Daria Kosenko.
After the ceremony at the palace ended, the festivities moved to the open stage in front of the Metalurh Culture and Sports Palace and featured performances by the palace’s artists and invited guest Khrystyna Okhitva.
The performance by the popular Belarusian band Lyapis 98 created very positive impressions. The grateful audience sang along, applauded and dance to the popular songs of the band. “One of the best concerts in recent years,” wrote Vilnohirsk residents on their pages in Facebook.
The performances of the Belarusian band and Khrystyna Okhitva took place in Vilnohirsk thanks to financial support of JSC UMCC.
The evening ended with a DJ performance and on the following day, the residents of the city participated in the sporting events.
