IMPP performs record high export in September

In September, Irshansk Mining and Processing Plant completed the supply of record high volume of export – 30,000 t of ilmenite concentrate, informed SE UMCC First Deputy Director General Oleksandr Gladushko. “Irshansk plant hasn’t had such high volumes of export in its entire history, even when the conditions on the market were favorable. This record supply allowed us to considerably reduce the volumes of products at the company’s warehouses,” tells Gladushko.
 
Up until now, the supplies from IMPP have not exceeded 13,000 of ilmenite concentrate per month. The problems with the sales are due to the fact that in the period from 2004 to 2014 the plant was cut off from the foreign markets and supplied its products only for processing by the Ukrainian plants. 
 
“We are proud that we managed to bring Irshank’s ilmenite back to the foreign markets. An increase in exports after the crisis will make it possible for us to plan an increase in use of IMPP’s production capacities. This is a motivational result for us,” comments Gladushko.
 
Irshansk Mining and Processing Plant has the largest capacities in Ukraine for processing rough concentrates into finished products – at the level of 450,000-500,000 t. The products of the plant are sold in Ukraine, EU and other countries.
