PJSC UMCC named one of the country's biggest taxpayers
25.04.2017PJSC UMCC was ranked 55th in the Top 100 Taxpayers in Ukraine and placed among the top five companies in the mining and metallurgical industry. Biznes Newspaper published the rating of top taxpayers of Ukraine in 2016 on Monday, April 24.
PJSC United Mining and Chemical Company was ranked 55th in the Top 100 socially responsible companies in the country that paid most taxes last year, according to the State Fiscal Service that referred to the publication.
In the mining and chemical industry, our company placed among the Top 5 taxpayers behind such business giants as Metinvest, Arcelor Mittal Kryviy Rih, DTEK, Interpipe and Pivdenniy OEP.
Biznes named UMCC a record holder by increase of tax payments in the industry rating. “The company increase tax payments by more than three times compared with 2015 to UAH 695 mn,” according to the publication.
The newspaper provides explanation to the company’s positive dynamics. Thanks to company’s income increase in 2016, income tax at UMCC increased by UAH 124 mn to UAH 335 mn, natural resources tax – by UAH 35 mn to UAH 132 mn. The company also paid UAH 152 mn in surplus tax, which is UAH 72 mn than in 2015.
PJSC UMCC Oleksandr Gladushko commented the role of the company in Biznes’ rating:
“Since the time of its formation, United Mining and Chemical Company has proved itself as a consistent and socially responsible business player. The company dynamically increased income, revenues and tax payments to the budgets of all levels despite the condition of the titanium market that has gone through deep crisis in the past several years.”
UMCC will continue to further maintain the status of a socially responsible employer and major budget generating revenue enterprise displaying positive growth dynamics, says Gladushko.
