Administration of Vilnohirsk MMP, a subsidiary of PJSC UMCC, almost annually attends the First School Day Celebration at the schools of the town, and never empty-handed. This year, every school in town received from the VMMP administration a ping-pong table and School No. 2, which celebrated 55th anniversary – also a TV set.
On September 1, as in all schools of the country, School No. 2 held a solemn School Assembly on the occasion of the Day of Knowledge. This year, however, it was special, because the school opened its doors for the first time 55 years ago.
VMMP Director Andriy Storchak attended the celebration. He congratulated everybody on the start of the new school year and on the school's 55th anniversary.
“Over this time, School No. 2 raised many generations of talented Vilnohirsk residents,” said Andriy Storchak in his speech. “Not all of them became famous, of course, but there is no doubt that the majority of school students and graduates are true patriots, good and honest people. Many graduates of your school are working at the plant and some of them head important subdivisions.”
VMMP director congratulated, on behalf of the company, teachers, parents, and wished them inspiration, creativity, achievement of goals, happiness and long memories. Then, Andriy Storchak gave some advice and congratulated the first graders and seniors and all students of School No. 2. He presented the school with a ping-pong table and a TV set.
The celebration of the 55th anniversary of the School No. 2 was also attended by honorary guests, including Vilnohirsk Mayor Volodymyr Vasylenko, City Council Secretary Volodymyr Smirnov and Valeriy Denysyuk, assistant of Oleh Kryshyn. The school also received a laptop from the town’s administration and a grass trimmer from Oleh Kryshyn.
The school assembly was vivid and eventful. Performances of seniors, first graders and creative groups of Metalurh Culture and Sport Palace – exemplary dance group Radist and a member of Oleh Yaroshenko Stage Vocal Studio Viktoria Osypova, contributed to the overall joy and celebratory mood.
Despite the rainy weather, all students – from first graders to seniors – upon hearing the first bell ring, eagerly went to their classes to begin their school year.
