Payroll grew in the company the most – by nearly 25% to UAH 386.6 million, largely due to last year’s increase of hourly tariff rates and salaries of the employees of the company’s subsidiaries, Vilnohirsk Mining and Metallurgical Plant and Irshansk Mining and Processing Plant, upon the initiative of the company’s board. Accordingly, taxes to the national budget paid from salaries also increased.
Overall, PJSC UMCC paid UAH 1.3 billion in taxes and mandatory payments, which is nearly 16% higher than the respective indicator for 2016.
“The company once again proved that it is a socially-oriented business. It has confirmed its mission as the donor of the national budget and a major budget revenue generating enterprise at the local levels,” comments Oleksandr Gladushko, Acting Chairman of the Board of PJSC United Mining and Chemical Company.
He believes that the company has hard work of its great team to thank for such achievement for the benefit of the country. “Thanks to the workers of our big working family, we still have the islands of success, such as our company, in these difficult times for Ukraine. They prove the firmness and invincibility of the Ukrainian workers in spite of any economic challenges and attempts by an aggressor to break the will of the Ukrainian people,” believes Gladushko.
