Oleksiy Perevezentsev, State Secretary of the Ministry of Economic Development arrived to Vilnohirsk Mining and Metallurgical Plant, a subsidiary of PJCS UMCC, to accompany the new Bell dump trucks to the open pit mine. On that day, he spoke before the staff about the key achievements of the company.
On May 30, mining and technological transport unit of VMMP was full of new vehicles purchased by the company during 2017-2018. Positioned around the perimeter of the site, they waited for a solemn dispatch to work. Six exclusive 55-ton Bell dump trucks, five BelAZ giants, three front end loaders and four forklifts, and twelve vehicles for transporting workers welcomed the guests.
Oleksandr Gladushko, Acting Chairman of the Board of PJSC UMCC, opened the solemn ceremony. He did not hide positive emotions and noted that the new vehicles that were purchased are an important step forward for the company. “We expect the company to increase its planned output indicators as a result of the upgrade of the transport pool,” he said. To independently perform production plans without involving third parties is what the management of the company aspires for at its subsidiaries, said the head of PJSC UMCC.
The new Bell dump trucks will improve the company’s economy, increase its payments to the budgets and improve working conditions for the drivers, said Oleksiy Perevezentsev, State Secretary of the Ministry of Economic Development during the solemn ceremony, having familiarized himself with the new vehicles. “I congratulate you on such an important event as the upgrade of the transport pool. I hope that this will increase labor productivity and significantly improve working conditions of those who will use it,” said the State Secretary.
The honorary guest also noted that PJSC UMCC has increased investments in the modernization of the transport pool. Last year, the company spent UAH 70 million at VMMP for these purposes, while this year this amount will more than double – up to UAH 190 million. And this is only thanks to the purchase of ten Bell dump trucks. The company also plans other purchases and equipment upgrade.
Perevezentsev also pointed to other achievements of the company speaking to the VMMP employees. “Thanks to your daily work, last year record dividends were paid to the state budget of Ukraine – about UAH 322 million,” he said. “Your company operates in a competitive market. This is difficult and particularly honorable, as you are strengthening the economic potential of our country.”
Also Tetiana Kiselyova, Deputy Chairman of the Board of PJSC UMCC and acting director of VMMP, congratulated the employees of the plant with the purchase of such a large transport pool. “Machinery and equipment is just that – machinery and equipment. Without the professionals here, it will not work,” she said. “These powerful vehicles will help us perform production plans and provide financially for our families.”
On the same day, after the solemn ceremony, Perevezentsev visited the open pit mine No. 7 of VMMP, where he inspected the production capacities for mining and transportation of rock mass. There he learned about the peculiarities of working the site, communicated with the employees and tried on the miner’s helmet.
After visiting the open pit mine, the State Secretary participated in the meeting of the company's board, where he listened to the report on the financial results of PJSC UMCC for 2017, information on the payment of taxes and fees, personnel issues and got acquainted with the investment plans for the nearest future. The meeting also discussed important production and financial issues that needed to be addressed immediately.
In his final speech, the State Secretary thanked the company's staff for the warm welcome, good work and emphasized the important of PJSC UMCC in providing proceeds to the national budget and ensuring economic growth of the country. “It is pleasant that you remain in the top league of strategic and significantly important enterprises in the government sector of the economy,” said Perevezentsev.
He reminded the participants of the board meeting that the management of the company is not only upgrading the transport pools of its subsidiaries, but also modernizing equipment at the processing plant of VMMP, purchasing top western equipment. “I believe that your achievements today are a result of productive partnership of the shareholder, board and government bodies. Keep it up,” he said.
